Personal Statement
Experienced and licensed soccer coach with advanced academic education, concentrating in early youth athletic and soccer development in early years, Basic and Initial stages U6-U12. Knowledgeable and experienced in designing and delivering modern training curriculum grounded in contemporary coaching science, drawn from coaching and sports science academic study. Educated and licensed by FA, USC, USSF. Prior experience in designing and conducting soccer camps, events and tours. FE/HE educator. Current role as Director of Youth Development at SA United SC, responsible for developing and leading 15+ coaching staff and 400 players aged 4-13 years old. Driving our club forwards into new, innovative and unique models of youth sports management and coaching delivery. Love this role! Aspire to be the best role model for our players and help them achieve their goals. Future goals include PhD, lecturing and research. Interests in Coaching Process, skill acquisition, coaching behaviours.

Master of Science degree (with Merit) in Performance Coaching

Studied Masters degree Performance Coaching by distance learning over two years part-time, whilst working in full-time employment. The course included theoretical study and research tasks, including a final 15,000 word self-directed research study dissertation, entitled 'The Coaching Philosophy: A systematic review of literature and exploration of autoethnography for practitioners'. Other areas of study included The Coaching Process, Performance Analysis, Pedagogy and Planning the Process.

Program director for all U4-U10 players and training programs feeding into the ECNL pathway. Responsible for managing staff of 10 coaches per season and 200 players.

Site manager for two sports centers owned by private school based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire UK. Managed 13 staff across two site. Sites included swimming pool, indoor sports hall/gym, multi-gym, ATP fields, 3G five-a-side fields, athletic track and grass throwing event areas. Hosted school sporting events and large community and national events.
